Bent Shapes have a Slumberland Records debut coming at you March 11th. The album is titled Wolves of Want and “Realization Hits” is a shot of indie-pop from the record that will for sure have you ready for the album’s release.

It is easily worthy of the Friday Fire Track spot today with its upbeat guitar start and bouncy vocals that just wrap their arms around you. Wolves of Want was recorded with Elio DeLuca (Titus Andronicus), and mastered by TW Walsh (Pedro the Lion), so it has a top notch indie pedigree to it that really works.

Bent Shapes has a very familiar sound that feels like you have been following them for years. Their Ted Leo like front vocal also features a guy/gal dynamic to it that reminds me of the New Pornographers Carl Newman and Neko Case. Their energetic music has a little Phoenix bubble undertone while giving plenty of Spoon like angular guitar turns. If you dig this track – you will dig the record!
